Course Content :

Started in 1995 with 24 students, the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management has strength of 230 students today. It is a 3-year degree programme comprising of six semesters. It has well equipped labs and enjoys a cordial relationship with the industry and leading chains of hotels. The following are the important subjects covered.

Students are required to study French as the language under Part I . Students gain hands on experience during the food festivals organized by the Department on specific themes. Special workshops on vegetable Carving, Flower arrangement, Cookery competitions etc. prepare the students for the industry demands.

Internship

Students are required to complete 5 months of industrial training by working at the various departments of Five star hotels.

Placement

Campus recruitment of Students is done by the department in various leading group of hotels.
